The morning began at 6:30. Mila Masina, the Russian Team Leader called me and said that teams Russia and France had a fight in Players Village. I was really shocked and couldn't fall asleep again, at 9 AM we came to Players village in order to find out what has happened. The whole thing is as follows:

Approximately at 3 AM Karma was asking the French Female Counter-Strike team to take a photo with him, but some random French player came to him and said that he won't get any photos and should leave now. Karma had nothing against it and left. After some hour French player aspeak_fr comes to Russians who were sitting near the elevator and were really drunk at that moment, he claimed that Russians stole his mobile phone and even insulted them couple of times. When FM^Under said some curse in Russian, unfortunately for him, aspeak knew some Russians and could define what he actually said, so for that he kicked Under in the face, Under ran away for reinforcements. About 8-10 Russian players came to French Team's room and knocked out the door, after beating hard the four French (2 of whom were actually Press) Russians decided to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, the hotel had sensor cameras which recorded the whole thing, and as for French team, they went for medical assistance and told the whole story to the Organisers and Administration. The French had the informative advantage and they used it. They had video tape with Russians in it, they had injured players and so on. Meanwhile Russians didn't have anything to prove that it wasn't completely their fault. Only after French team complained to the administration, French Team Leader called Mila Masina and explained the whole thing.

Both teams have blood on their hands, both are guilty. French had started the fight, Russians were the ones to blame for crashing the room door and beating up the French. The main cause is of course the alcohol. The funny thing is that everyone was told not to drink alcohol in the Hotel, but noone listened.

Russian Team ruined the prestige of Russia, Mila Masina's career and WCG Russia 2004 qualifier, which won't be as big as it was this year.

We came to agreement that Russians will say sorry to French team, but you can't rewind what has happened. The previous Russian Team, at WCG 2002 was a lot better, not by the results, but the other thing...
