You are one of those addicted players (doesn't matter if it's Quake, CS, UT, Super Mario Bross...) and your girlfriend can't understand your passion ? Yes I know, someone will say "eh, I'm a girl and it's my boyfriend who can't understand it?" O.K., that's not very often, but the solution is the same or nearly the same in both cases. Well, that's a very hard piece of work... Just sit down (not in front of your computer this time) and start to think about what your partners love to do quite often. Then is when they confront you again with something like this: * Are you playing that game for retards again? And you answer: * Mindy, what about your healthy passion about going shopping? * And Kathie, the "precious time" you spend with your wonderful hair? * Your masturbating 99% of your time, Mark, what do you think about that? * John, your passion for watching a bunch of boys running after a ball on television? Maybe they can't understand what you are trying to say, but sure they rest for a moment thinking if you are on drugs or just joking... When they stop to make strange faces, you have to start talking again before they are able to speak out loud. * And... what about... errr ... if you try to get to know me better, I'll try to go shopping, spend time with my hair, watch some football matches on TV and masturbate as often as u do... Then they learn... and learn... and learn... and start to ignore you, and they are even more addicted than you... and one day, they start to go to different LANs. Finally they leave you for a better player... Solution: 1. Continue with your gaming, when they are not near... 2. Teach you'r parents to lie, like "ye ... studied all afternoon " 3. Spend their free time with them, make them feel like a Queen/King 4. Don't watch/read/ask/talk anything in relation with computers when you are with them But it is possible that they understand your first answer, that's because they really love you then all works on, your life is marvellous and you finish your days together with your addiction. :D

It's not really possible to spend as much time on a girlfriend as you should and still maintain a high level of games playing... I think that having a girlfriend who likes games would probably make that even worse, it's better to seperate your time instead of spend it all on one thing :]

My girlfriend doesnt like playing games but she supports me when Im going to a tournament or something, I know she doesnt want me to keep playing videogames for life but she knows I like it very much and have a good time with it so she doesnt mind really.

Girlfriend that plays games.. interesting concept.. I doubt that would work for me because I can get really competetive.
A girlfriend shouldnt have to see that vicious side of me thats screaming for the f---ing team to get the f--- to the motherf---ing RA.

I'm not in a relationship, but when I do get into one, I'd rather my girlfriend know about my hobby and not participate.

I'm not saying i wouldnt get intimate with a girl that plays games. However, I'm not gunna start a relationship with a girl that shares that big of a common interest with me. I'd want to get into a relationship with a girl that can expose me to new things, that aren't necessarily computer or gaming related. Just my humble opinion.

It's good topic, so, what about gf that think, that computer games are not important part of life at all. Shopping is good, couse it makes us unhungry, undressed and at last healthy. Wonderful hair is good, couse it makes us beautiful and help to good intercourse in society. Masturbating is good (hmm... you really have no girl for normal sex? ;-) couse it makes us unnervous and at last, healthy. Only TV as I think is correct comparison with computer games, but... didn't you think what your gf care for football in TV? ;-) Ask her, and than relax, couse you probably will hear nothing good ;-)

Nice reading. But plz specifie the tru meaning in why she cant understand my interesst in gaming. Thsi is jusst the thoughts that we have all came across, nothing special. I eman search yer soul for the answers in which i can use against her. I mean its necessary, if im supposed to survive this hellish nightmare hehe.. I need to know.. So plz do help me through this. I know it inst my case but from my POV gf/bf + gaming =! fatal error always, it depends on how you manage both lifes, you can play games and compete in but you can take it as your hobby (it doesnt take more time really, if you are a talented player you will be good surely) and hang out with your friends and gf, anyway I just wanted to give you my point of view, all gf's arent like mine though. hehe. see ya in MVQ 2!! take care.

well I'm married since a year ago i'm 23 my wife is 20 and i play games as long as i want, just that you must give time to her when she ask for it... or when u think she need's it. or arrange your time of play, look, she goes bed almost 9 pm so i go bed with her , she get sleep, then i wake up to gaming, yeah... so i go bed almost at 3 am with a happy fraggin' smile. other stuff that works great is to get lot lot of images, about flowers, natural scenery, so she can see all of them but be sure to get 100000000000 images so it'll envolve a lot of time to see them jejeje. get windows xp so she can experiment in "her computer" with all the "PACOTILLA" graphic stuff... included in it... get easy games as pacman, airxonix, monopoly, memory blocks, jacks, mamba, sokoban, etc, in fact she saw airxonix and she like's it so I buy it for her in the web site so wtf she plays too... and I w/my FPS games, get some time and make a Powerpoint card with flowers saying i love you and some a nice animations, send her e-mails, postcards, nice stuff, jokes, show her www sites about girls, who talk about advices on clothes, hair, look, stuff about womans etc, introduce her step by step, just a little time to time in the computers world , something she will find interesting that's for sure, be creative and you will have time for anything you want to do in front your computer. Man if your girl love's you she will understand you and both of you will be satisfied. believeme I do it that way.

Perfect solution #2.
With Q3A I got the perfect solution I guess. My girlfrined started to love playing with Q3, right after I've wrote a config for her with Britney enemymodels called them "britney" (what a suprise) cause she hates her. Thats all I think. Make them interested in one of the views of the game. If they don't like counting and thinking and take it as a challenge, than make them feel: its a nice little game to make them satisfied with winning against (for example Britney-faced) bring it on bots :)))
