 Wipeout LAN 2003 - website.
The Wipeoutlan will be the biggest video game competition ever organised in Switzerland. Around 1600 players are expected to come on a total surface of 7380m2. They will compete in different tournaments in order to divide a total cashprize of more than 25'000ˆ as well as hardware stuff.
Players coming from everywhere in Europe will be there for this huge event and they will try to lift the consecration in their respective discipline.
6 big tournaments will take place: Counter-Strike / Quake III Arena / Warcraft 3 / Day of defeat / Battlefield 1942 / Unreal Tournament 2003.

Start Time: 14:00pm (the 21st)
End Time: around 19:00pm (the 23rd)
Location: At the cerm (www.cerm.ch) in the center of the Valais, in Martigny, Switzerland
Size: The total surface of the CERM is 7380m3 (123m x 60m), it can support loads of players without any problem.
Parking: Free, next to the CERM, 4 parkings are available for more than 800 cars.
Places: 1600 places are available to players, places for spectators will be unlimited.
Fees: A player entry costs 50CHF or 35ˆ. It means: about 1m on 1m space to play for the whole weekend, a slot (on the switch) and a drink. A visitor entry costs 7 CHF or 5ˆ.
Internet connection: two 100Mbits fiber optic connections will be available for the event.
What to take with: Your personal hardware, meaning: your computer, your monitor, your keyboard and mouse, a straight UTP network cable (RJ-45 min 10meters), a 10/100Mbits network card, a headset (loud speakers forbidden) plus your accessories like mouse pad and stuff. Don't forget your good mood!
