International ASUS Winter 2006 tournament will open the new season of ASUS Open Series. This is the main winter tournament in CIS, 12th competition. ASUS Open Series goes on, in 2006 we’ll see 4 tournaments at the least and they’re going to be something you’ve never seen before. ASUS Open has become the Unofficial CIS eSport Competition.
This time gamers and audience may expect big prize fund, three nominations and the whole new tournament conception. The main idea of this tournament is to create good image of the competition to attract players from abroad. Best European players, best female Q4-team and all eSport stars from CIS plan to participate in the tournament. Well, let’s get down to business!

660 000 rubles / 24'000 US$

As you can see, our new partner, VIA company, will sponsor a female only Quake 4 tournament within the ASUS Open Cup tournament. The official name of the girls tournament will be: The ASUS VIA CHROME Cup. VIA will provide 6000.00 US$ in prize money (3000 for 1st, 2000 for 2nd, and 1000 for 3rd place).  VIA will also fly in 4 professional female gamers (girlz 0f destruction* team members) to participate in the tournament.

* girlz 0f destruction is a 7-member, international all-girls PC gaming team hailing from seven different countries and will be sending three representatives to participate in this Quake 4 tournament. Representing  Sweden,  Canada and  USA  , the girlz 0f destruction members will be participating as individuals in a deathmatch-style Quake 4 tournament. All team members attending the event are professional gamers and have played over 10,000 matches between them and each trains on average for five hours a day.
