hub3tourney1 – is one of new maps that is already loved by many Russian players. It represents two parts in one of which there’s a red armr, and a yellow in the other. There is a Rocket in each part, and Railgun and Shaft somewhere in the middle. It’s a matter-of-course that Rocket is the main duel weapon at hub3tourney1, though key frags are often made with Railgun. You won’t make a great deal with Shaft here due to the lack of open spaces..
Two parts of the level are united by 3 rather narrow passages and a teleport, all the passages are well viewed from the point by red armor, which makes quiet sneaking impossible. Though, in the other hand, the player with red armor doesn’t know from the start where he’ll be attacked from, and this allows him to be railed by the opponent who will not get any damage in response. So if you respawned at the red armor, try to pick up Railgun as soon as possible, otherwise your armor will be picked before the next will appear. It’s perfect when you have all kinds of weapons.
If you`re at the red armor wondering where the enemy might come from, try to hide behind a pillar. But be very careful not to be taken by surprise.
If you’ve got a Railgun, take a position that will allow you to fire along one of the passages and not to be shot from another.
If you railed the enemy, try to catch him at a medpack or the yellow armor.
If you killed the opponent in the level part with red armor, try rail him from the distance right away, or at the Rocket or the yellow armor.
If you know the enemy’s going to take the Railgun whether toss some grenades on the teleportation place, or just wait when he’ll be jumping down.
If you killed the enemy in the part of the level with the yellow armor, try to rail himright from the respawn. Of course, in the case when he appears in the same part of the level. Aim for the big medpack or the bridge above the teleport by the Shaft.
In the case you killed the enemy by the central passge, he can reappear in the part of the level with red armor. Then aim for the respawn at the pillar or try to rail the enemy if he jumps for the upper Rocket.
With all these methods you can successfully defend the red armor keeping on pressing on the oppnent and scoring frags. If you have a priority in frags, but have been shot from the red armor, try to act carefully and not to give out many frags. If in the last skirmish you caused almost no damage to the enemy, be sure – he’ll try to rail you at picking up some weapon. Get the Railgun first, after then take the Rocket or an armor, aiming for one of the passages while moving:
After been killed and respawned in the yellow armor part, don’ hurry. Take the Railgun and get the control over the passages where you could be railed from.
If the enemy didn’t attack you letting you take the yellow armor, Rocket and Railgun, go for the red. You can rail the opponent at a jumppad or coming carefully from the back passage and railing him, too.
If you railed the enemy at the red armor, come closer and try not to let him out of the trap. If you are below, try to rail him right on the red, or while he’s escaping by jumppad.
This is all about the duel on hub3tourney1. Don’t forget that your aiming with all the weapons must be at a very high level, as location-restricted skirmishes are abad choice for this map. At least you must have a good Railgun and Rocket firing skill.
