Cyberfight.org: Hello, please introduce yourself.
ForresT: My name's Nicola Geretti and I come from Italy. I've been playing UT1 for 6 months and then played Quake3 for an year (2001). I'm playing UT2003 since the leaked demo.

Cyberfight.org: When did you encounter the computer games first?
ForresT: I think it was 94 when I tried pushing those keys of my uncle's 286.

Cyberfight.org: You didn't show up at ESO2, but did very well at earlier tournaments like Euskal and ECG, do you feel that you missed something important our your LAN training with other SoL members was even better? What is your opinion about Online tournaments on the whole?
ForresT: Im quite disappointed that nowadays team deathmatch is being forgiven. I would maybe feel better if there were more tournaments dealing with teamplay instead of just duel... The meaning of 'clan' is becoming more something like a business environment rather than a friends one like it was meant to be.

Cyberfight.org: Will you play UT2004, and what do you expect from this game?
ForresT: Im going to play UT2004 if there won't be any other 'hardcore' FPS that deserves the definition. Half-Life 2 seems to be quite near and I will keep an eye on it as it could be more interesting that I would have thought... even if I like games more like Quake3 :)

Cyberfight.org: What can you say about Russian skill in Unreal Tournament? This year 2 of 3 Russians were not lucky enough and didn't qualify cause of frag lack, your comments on this rule's term, is it fair? I mean look at Varagh, it's simply pathetic that this kid is so unlucky for 2nd or even 3rd time because of the frag number.
ForresT: Korean admins should have drawn seedings first. They just put random names in poules so that anyone can see 'easy' poules and insane ones... just unbalanced! Im not surprised to see big players being kicked out for frag difference then. Im disappointed too for Askold and Varagh as they deserved to play in playoffs. Eventually Single Elimination is just stupid... we got time, we got computers, we got wonderful staff, all seems to be working... I cant figure out why they did choose single elimination. I'm probably going to face both the americans to go to the finals and I can't lose.

Cyberfight.org: Please compare WCG 2003 and WCG 2002, which one is better and why?
ForresT: Actually I didn't participate to WCG 2002 but I've been told by mates that WCG 2002 had a village instead of an hotel and all tournaments were Double Elimination... So this year players are more relaxed but with rules such these they will surely keep in mind that WCG would have been much more fair.

Cyberfight.org: WCG 2003's biggest dissapointment so far?
ForresT: Rule changes being done often and the lack of losers bracket of course :/

Cyberfight.org: Your plans after Korea?
ForresT: Keep studying as I lost lots of lessons :)

Cyberfight.org: How were you prepearing for WCG 2003 Grand Final?
ForresT: After ECG I went 4 days to SMAU ILP, a LAN situated in Milan... shame it turned up to be a failure after all... I think I trained more on Quake3 rather than UT2003 to be honest :)

Cyberfight.org: CPL vs WCG, which one is better and why?
ForresT: Since I started late playing Games seriously I didnt go to any of the CPL events... Anyway I've heard that CPL is losing the original prestige that had once it began. ESWC seems to be more interesting.

Cyberfight.org: Do you consider yourself a professional gamer?
ForresT: Actually NO. I think a professional gamer can LIVE with games... obviously I mean people who earn money from them as a decent work would do.

Cyberfight.org: What is cybersport's future in your opinion?
ForresT: It will grow esponentially like all sports did in the past, that's what I think... and it will be ruined by the business that will develop behind them... promoting but forgetting the spirit of game.

Cyberfight.org: What is cybersport like in Italy?
ForresT: It has problems showing up... NGI mostly has been the engine that brought cybersports so high in Italy... not the only of course. Now these sports changed a lot and need something different from just server hosting like it used to be 2 or 3 years ago.

Cyberfight.org: What about UT's eye-candy thing? Mark Rein explained that it must be present in cybersport since major sponsors of the events like WCG and CPL are Graphic Cards developers and they want to show the power of their chips, not just r_picmip 5.
ForresT: That's right. Computer games always tried to be more similar to reality and they won't stop for sure :) Of course gameplay will be changed a lot and programmers are meant to be able to interact with both things in order to create a game able to become 'pro'. UT2003 just added lots of Static Meshes and most of the gamers (me too) didnt like the 'stucky' feeling that most of the maps have.

Cyberfight.org: Final shout outs?
ForresT: I want to thank all friends that actually help me having such attitude with games without any obstacle... and those who place them to help me not becoming so different from what I am :) I don't want to be such addicted to game.
