An interview with Cooller... We had no other choice than make an interview with a man who had proven second time that Russian Q3 duel school has a class and he has shown great performance on ESWC 2003. Whole Russia has been keeping track on his progress, and cyberfight website server has been going down for several times during finals and when we've been releasing demos from Cooller's POV. Read an exclusive interview with Anton Syngov - best Quake III: Arena player for year 2003...

c58d1masuS: Hello Anton. I want to congratulate you for winning ESWC! We didn't have a perfect relationship between us but I'm glad to see you the winner. How does it feels to win ESWC? esu`Cooller: Thanks for congratulating. Well, you know, I don't even believe that I've won - It's like I'm in a dream, it's not about me. In the beginning,I didn't even plan to finish the groups, since I wasn't playing practice games for long time, spending most of my time to girlfriend... During the tourney I've gained my skills back, eventually... That's why I don't even beleive I made it.
c58d1masuS: Yes, you were talking about your suspections about the tourney. What players do you think were most difficult to play matches with? With whom you didn't want to play in the tourney? esu`Cooller: I've been mad at LeXeR... He's the only person that has won me out completely. I think that's because it's very hard to us, Russians, to play against each other. I have less problems playing with those who aren't Russian, rather than playing with those like LeXeR, Death, noBap, you tell :)) But this time my losing to him was very successful later. Other people that I tried to avoid are ZeR04 and Z4muZ...
c58d1masuS: pro-q3tourney4 - Is this map still your weakest map? esu`Cooller: pro-t4? Hmm... Everything depends on how well you're firing with Railgun on this map. That's why I don't like this map. The only way to control this map is with aid of Railgun. When I'm in a good railing mood - I'm playing this map as strong as others...
c58d1masuS: Well, how did you like ESWC? How was the athmosphere in this tourney? The PC's, did the network lag? How organizers treated you? esu`Cooller: Organization - the best, a lot more better than WCG'2002 in Korea. Almost everybody has been talking that this is the best eSport tourney to date. People behind the tourney has treated us with understanding (at WCG, when I was late, I wasn't given even a few minutes to warm myself up). Here - always when I was late, I was allowed to warmup a bit. PC's were great. Two lows that I can remember are monitors, they had a low refresh rate, and meals were only two times a day. :) Breakfast was like, ugh. The ESWC was held in a building that was planned for tourists, journalists and people that has came here just to play a bit, not related to the tourney.
c58d1masuS: How did you spend your free time between matches? Has been there any entertainment? =) esu`Cooller: Heheh... It had reminded me about olympic village, so there were no shops or anything to entertain ourselves nearby. We've been just stupidly sitting in front of PC's in internet and relaxing a bit near the swimming pool, taking naps :)
c58d1masuS: Anyway, ESWC has come and gone. You need to look ahead. What's your plans for the future? esu`Cooller: The most important thing to me now is being accepted to come at high school. Exams and so on. And other - I plan to come to QuakeCon 2003... And enjoy my life. I've decided to graduate at Economic Security Academy... Exams begin there at August 1st so I am under some stress now. Moreover, I need to leave Moscow and do physical preparation exams too.
c58d1masuS: By the way, what do you think of idea about making a showmatch: ESWC'2003 World Cup champion eSu-Cooller vs ASUS|c58*uNkind - WCG'2002 Olympic champion? esu`Cooller: Neutral.. I mean, I'm not against that :P
c58d1masuS: Well then... Thanks for this short interview, I would very much like if you would come to QuakeCon and won there... esu`Cooller: No problems, thanks. I guess I won't make a mistake regarding the visa. The mistake that uNkind did :)
