d1monn: Hello Alex, we didn't take an interview with you before, and this is a good chance to take it. Just in time before WCG Russia 2002 unfolds. What did you do this summer?
Death: Hi, this summer had gone very well... Going to the country, doing some fishing, and so on... Great.
d1monn: What are your impressions of DM2k2? How do you think you've performed there?
Death: Well, it wasn't bad, but it could be better.
d1monn: What did you do to prepare for WCG Russia 2002?
Death: I was practicing Quake every day for 2-3 hours.
d1monn: I guess you've been also following the QuakeCon 2002 event. What do you think about the tourney? Which game did you like best? Which player's game style is near to yours?
Death: I liked how the tourney went on - new faces had appeared, and ZeRo4 was too relaxed to get a win, and LeXeR was doing just great. We've all been following his every step in the tourney, and he had shown everything what we expected from him. Style... well... Maybe fatal1ty...
d1monn: How do you like ospdm8? Did you play this map before?
Death: Nope, I didn't. But I've seen the demo of fatal1ty vs daler on this map, seems to be a nice map.
d1monn: What do you think about 69*Daler?
Death: I think that this guy did a really good job preparing for the tourney, and therefore he had taken a respective place, ruling out other players out of the tourney.
d1monn: I know that in Ekaterinburg there aren't many people playing Quake 3. How do you manage to stay in a good form? Just playing duels with all b100 members or you have some team secrets?
Death: No, there aren't any secrets, we just practice with each other.
d1monn: What in life do you do besides Quake 3? What other interests do you have?
Death: I love fishing, going to cinema, listening to music, sometimes I go to gym to keep myself well.
d1monn: By the way, why didn't you go to QuakeCon 2002? I've heard that you were going to.
Death: Yes I really wanted to go there but didn't make into the main grid, was around 500th in the waiting list, so I've decided not to risk my money and not go there, no one knew what would happen there next.
d1monn: Let's talk a little about WCG Russia 2002. Who do you think are the favourites? If any.
Death: Without question that's noBap, uNkind, LeXeR, Polosatiy, Demon, PELE, cooller. Clan b100 members also have good chances.
d1monn: And your top3 in WCG 2002 Final in Korea?
Death: There are too many favourites out there that it's even hard to guess. So I'll just say - kik, hammer, death =)
d1monn: Did you like being in the "Salut" hotel?
Death: Yes it is fine, thanks to organizers for allowing us to be there for WCG Russia while we're in Moscow.
d1monn: Well, good luck then there on WCG RU 2002!
